One year ago, a new vision for CHIME's annual fundraiser inspired the creation of our very own House Band. CHIMEapalooza was to be a homemade event with the spirit of CHIME wrapped into every moment. Kelly Callirgos, CHIME's Music Director, was asked to form a band from the musician parents at our school. Thus Parent Vibe was born.
Our parent musicians come from a variety of backgrounds and genres including solo, traditional, orchestral, rock, and jazz ensembles. This wonderful group of musicians has collaborated to create arrangements of song favorites that share the message of CHIME. They are thrilled to give back to our community by sharing their love of music.
CHIMEapalooza serves up music in many ways: Before the show began, guests enjoyed a little chamber music in the lobby, beautifully performed by Christin Phelps-Webb, Carla Blanc, and Andy Allen. During the show, Parent Vibe performed a variety of numbers that had the audience singing in their seats! And after the show guests boogied with Parent Vibe during the post-show party!
